We are proud to present our first show abroad.
On 22nd and 23rd of February, Baustelle Kalk presents some of Cologne's finest artists in electronic music and DJing in the beautiful city of Istanbul. In collaboration with the Turkish club Wake Up Call and supported by the Ministerium für Familie, Kinder, Jugend, Kultur und Sport we are happy to announce Barnt, Christian S, Camp Inc. and Broda to play on Saturday 02//23//2013 and Colorist on Friday 02/22//2013 (location: tba).

Barnt (Magazine)

Barnt is the co-founder of Cologne based label Magazine, a regular guest in legendary Berghain/Panorama Bar and works side by side with labels like Còmeme and Kompakt. His sound is a mixture of modern sequenced techno and „kosmiche-inspired synthesizer-driven electronics from the 70's. [His music] could be killer DJ tools in the right hands and should be recommended to fans of everything from Four Tet to DJ Koze.“ (boomkat.com) His track Geffen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6W6zniId77Y) can be found on numerous ranklists of 2012 (e.g. No.14 on RA's Top Tracks 2012 and No.3 on Groove Magazine's list). Barnt's new single will be released on Còmeme early 2013 and is rumoured to be „the best Còmeme ever“.

Christian S. (Còmeme)

An outstanding DJ – most of all, a true DJ with deep dance floor knowledge. Rocking parties in Cologne since the 90s, making the crowd dance to sleazy underground house jams; hypnotic wild pitch rhythms; modern grooves from South Africa; untold psychedelic disco stories; or the powerful wall-shaking basslines of his own tracks, like the Cómeme (http://www.musicacomeme.com/) classic »Jagos« (http://soundcloud.com/christian-s-1/christian-s-jagos) with ist tumbling, snare drum roll craziness and »The Power Of Now« (http://soundcloud.com/christian-s-1/thepowerofnow-chriss) - one of the most-played club anthems in 2012. He plays both nationally – catch him in his resident role in Düsseldorf’s legendary »Salon des Amateurs« – and internationally in places like Panoramabar in Berlin, Cat Club in Brussels, Batofar in Paris, Huntleys & Palmers in London, Goa in Madrid, Cervantino Festival in Mexico and many many more.

His longtime friend Matias Aguayo dedicated the piece „Chris S Has It“ to him.

Camp Inc. / LIVE! (Camp Magnetics)

Camp Inc. are Cologne based producers Roland Kaiser Wilhelm and Sebastian Ingenhoff and founders of the label Camp Magnetics. No laptop, no digital: In their liveset they only use analogue hardware equipment: Wild Acid basslines, spacy synths and funky kickdrums bringing love, sweat and madness. Biggest German music magazine intro celebrated their first release »Baustelle Kalk« as a »fantastic jam out of 100 great sound ideas« and saw them as a melange of Cologne techno tradition a la Kompakt and US-Underground House. Broda (Dorfjungs)

Broda is one of Cologne's newcomers in 2012 acquiring a reputation solely on the basis of his skills behind the decks. He and his Dorfjungs imprint quickly became a musical fixture in Cologne's clubscene and turns the city upside down with a layed back disco sound and his so called odd house. "This boy's got some serious reading to hand out to whoever dares rising to the occasion.", well-known Kompakt praises the young talent for a mixtape for Kompakt Radio. Broda's next radio appearance will be an exclusive podcast for the famous LA-based radiostation Dublab. Refusing to dance will just lead to failure!
